This artist constructed a large "den"out of cardboard! It took her 5 weeks
to complete it. She talked to the kids
about it, inspired them with her puppetry
(which I thought was a wee bit on
the odd side) and then put them to work
finding something in her "den"
that inspired them. They answered some
questions about their object of inspiration
on a worksheet, then went into the art
room to create a puppet of their own
from their inspiration! It was definitely
a favorite home school workshop at the DMA.
